Horwich Farrelly appoints SEC Newgate to raise its corporate profile

The appointment supports its strategy to expand into new sectors and specialisms

The UK’s leading legal advisers to the insurance sector, Horwich Farrelly, has appointed integrated communications agency SEC Newgate, to manage its media relations.

An award-winning specialist legal services firm with a strong track record of defending insurers and advising on counter-fraud strategies over its 50-year history, Horwich Farrelly works closely with most of the leading insurers in the UK and has pioneered contempt of court proceedings in civil claims, being the first to use “contempt of court” as a tool for the industry in the fight against fraud – a tactic which has now become industry standard.

The firm is also home to one of the UK’s leading catastrophic injury teams. Typically managing complex multi-million-pound settlements for claimants with life-changing injuries, the team is also undergoing substantial growth as it expands to advising on abuse claims with sensitivity. SEC Newgate has been appointed by Horwich Farrelly to manage its media relations as it continues to grow into new markets and specialisms. The Horwich Farrelly team will be led by Director Vanessa Chance, with strategic counsel from Managing Director, Tali Robinson and supported by Jessica Sena and Georgina Procter.
