Each of SEC Newgate’s 31 offices, across five continents, has been busy transforming their service offering to support clients and contacts during lockdown.  Below are examples from just three of our offices:

In Australia:

  • Newgate Australia Research launched a new national weekly Covid-19 survey of more than 1,000 Australians.  In the initial survey, Australians believed their financial health may be at greater risk than their personal health and they wanted a measured approach that limits the financial impact from this issue.  The findings appeared on the front pages of Australian newspapers including in The Sydney Morning Herald and The Age.  Numerous Corporates and Government departments have since commissioned Newgate Research to provide tailored insights for their own use.

In Italy:

  • SEC launched an online platform – Primum Vivere - for companies and organisations to demonstrate resilience and how to defeat the crisis. The team collects and puts in place positive stories to help with the social engagement of the country. The initiative has had widespread coverage in the Italian media, including Corriere della Sera, Italy’s leading daily newspaper.
  • The healthcare team managed an online media event for Human Tachnopole, Italy’s new research Institute for Life Sciences, based in Palazzo Italia (in the former area of Expo 2015) to present the architectural project for its headquarters. 160 stakeholders attended and among them 50 journalists.

In the UK:

  • The Newgate Capital Markets team launched virtual investor meetings for listed companies to engage with the market at the time of their results and also to host Investor Access meetings – several ‘events’ have attracted record attendance levels.
  • Newgate’s specialist Community Engagement team is focused on helping housebuilders, developers, retailers and many others to consult more effectively with communities and engage with local politicians and the media up and down the country.  The team devised a virtual consultation product to replace the traditional process of exhibitions and meetings, embracing web-based consultation, focus groups and workshops.  Highly successful meetings have been held and praised by the clients and the participants.
  • Newgate’s CEO, Emma Kane held a webinar in conversation with Lord Hogan-Howe, former Commissioner of the Metropolitan Police Force discussing Leadership, Crisis Management and Security.  The webinar was held in partnership with Newgate client, Rosenblatt Solicitors (part of RBG Holdings plc).
  • Newington is offering its clients ‘telly townhalls’ - from one-to-one conversations, for up to 1,000 participants. Newington trains the presenters, manages the ‘event’ and the Q&As.
