NSIPs Forum 2022
We're proud to be sponsoring the 10th annual Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects Forum. We have advised on more than 20 Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, including:
- Longfield Solar Farm
- Sunnica Energy Farm
- Hinkley Point C Nuclear Power Station
- Brigg Biomass Plant
- Keuper Gas Storage Project
- Port Talbot Steel Works
- International Advanced Manufacturing Park
We have consistently lead innovation in delivering NSIP programmes, most recently developing ways to allow consultation to continue during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2020, we won the Planning Campaign of the Year PRCA Public Affairs Award for our work in support of new hydrogen generation in Kent.
There is an ever-greater focus from PINs on applicants demonstrating that they have consulted adequately and had regard to feedback from consultees.
We use an insights-led approach to understand the audiences for engagement. This includes community and digital mapping to develop detailed evidence for who needs to be engaged.
We combine remote engagement methods such as virtual consultation rooms, webinars and social media with more traditional techniques such as public exhibitions and telephone surgeries. This includes targeted digital engagement and social analytics so we can help you find out what matters to residents, landowners and businesses while allowing you to keep an eye on the online ground.
All our work takes place with an eye on delivering robust and compliant deliverables for DCO applications, including the Consultation Report.
At our stand at the Forum on 1 and 2 March 2022, we’ll be showcasing some of our virtual and digital mapping and engagement techniques. To arrange a meeting on the day with one of our event team, please get in touch on douglas.johnson@secnewgate.co.uk.
